TAGG cares about your Personal Information and takes your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By using or accessing TAGG’s services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways.
Remember that your use of TAGG’s services is at all times subject to the Terms of Use, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Use.
Participant Registration on TAGG’s Website
TAGG may collect certain information that can be used to identify or contact an individual (“Participant Information”) from members of participating organizations, which may include children who raise money through TAGG under a specific organization. As with other potential users of the TAGG website, each child who wishes to create an account with this website must provide to TAGG his or her Personal Information. As required by COPPA, TAGG may not collect any information beyond that reasonably necessary for a child to participate in the TAGG fundraising website or program. A child’s Personal Information is collected in order to track the spending and fundraising practices of the child and to provide reports of the same to the relevant fundraising organizations and businesses, which organizations have agreed to maintain the confidentiality and security of such Personal Information.
Participant Information is collected during the registration process on the TAGG websites www.togetheragreatergood.com and TAGG.today and includes such information as a person’s first and last name, phone, and e-mail address and the participating organization that the person supports. If the user chooses not to provide the Participant Information, he or she will not be able track or raise money for himself or herself specifically. They can still support their team and/or organization.
Mobile App/Website User Information
TAGG collects certain information to identify, locate or contact an individual (“Personal Information”) when a user downloads the app or creates an account via TAGG.today. This Personal Information includes such information as a person’s first and last name, phone, and e-mail address, the participating organization(s) that the person supports, and other Personal Information that the user may choose to provide TAGG during such registration process. If the user chooses not to provide the Personal Information, they will not be able to use the TAGG app or TAGG.today.
In general, and in addition to the Personal Information we collect during the registration process, we collect Personal Information that you submit to us voluntarily through TAGG, including any information provided in postings, comments or forums within the TAGG community. We also collect Personal Information that you submit in the process of creating or editing your account and user profile on TAGG’s mobile application or on TAGG.today, which includes user profile information, including your name, location and email address. When you personalize your profile and use the features of TAGG, we will collect any information you voluntarily provide, and we may also request optional information to support your use of TAGG, such as your month of birth, gender and other demographic information. Please remember that any content you upload to your public user profile, along with any Personal Information or content that you voluntarily disclose online in a manner other users can view (on discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, etc.) becomes publicly available, and can be collected and used by others
When you “TAGG” your purchase through the mobile app or TAGG.today, you must select an organization to receive a monetary portion of your purchase. Each organization will have access to information relating to the individuals who have made a donation to them.This will include your name and donation amount, but not include your contact information, payment method or credit card information. No credit card information ever runs through TAGG.
If you send TAGG an e-mail, or contact us through TAGG’s website, we will collect your e-mail address and the full content of your e-mail, including attached files, and other information you provide.
Certain information you post or provide through TAGG for public posting, such as your name, profile, comments, collections and reviews, may be shared with other users and posted on publicly available portions of TAGG, including, without limitation, social media applications and other public forums in which you choose to participate. Please keep in mind that if you choose to disclose Personal Information when posting comments or other information or content through TAGG, this information may become publicly available and may be collected and used by others, including people outside the TAGG community. Please also be aware that if you choose to share TAGG-related activity, they will become publicly available on Facebook and Twitter websites. It is up to you to make sure you are comfortable with the information you choose to provide to us and the information you choose to publish. We will not have any obligations with respect to any information that you post to parts of TAGG that are accessible by others, and we recommend that you use caution when giving out Personal Information to others through social media networks or otherwise.
Use/Sharing of This Information
As part of the mission of TAGG, users of TAGG’s mobile app or TAGG.today are asked to “do their part” by sharing on Facebook, Twitter or both after they have “TAGGED” a purchase at a participating business.
In general, Personal Information and other information you submit or share with us is used for the following purposes by TAGG: to enable your access to our services, and to provide, maintain, protect, develop and improve TAGG and its websites, mobile app and services.
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes the Personal Information that we collect with third parties, unless you ask or authorize us to do so.
TAGG does not share Personal Information received from children with third parties, except to the organization whose name the child originally supplied to TAGG during the registration process. Such organization will be given the child’s name and total amount raised for each child. TAGG uses the Personal Information provided by the children for record-keeping, to ensure that donations are properly tracked and credited to the proper accounts. TAGG may also use the e-mail addresses supplied to send e-mails about a child’s participation in TAGG and/or to let the child know of any changes in the business or website during their participation.
Additionally, we do share your first and last name, organization preferences and business “TAGGed” with social networks you have used in connection with TAGG, along with those companies and persons with whom you have asked us to share your information. We will also provide your first and last name to the organization and business that you chose when you “TAGGED” your purchase. If you do not want us to use or disclose Personal Information collected about you in the manner identified in this Privacy Policy, please do not use TAGG’s mobile app, websites or services.
We may also develop non-Personal Information concerning TAGG users, using de-identification processes to help ensure that such information cannot reasonably be re-associated or connected with you as an individual. Generally, we aggregate this information and use it in statistical analysis to help us analyze patterns in the use of the TAGG websites and services. We may make your Personal Information anonymous so that you are not individually identified, and provide that information to our partners. We may also provide aggregate usage information to our partners, who may use such information to understand how often and in what ways people use our services, so that they, too, can provide you with an optimal online experience. However, we never disclose aggregate information to a partner in a manner that would identify you personally, as an individual.
This Privacy Policy does not limit our use or disclosure of de-identified information (i.e., information that is not connected with you as a user) in any way, and we reserve the right to use and disclose such information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties in our discretion.
We may disclose your Personal Information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; or (b) to protect and defend our rights or property, you, or third parties. You hereby consent to us sharing your Personal Information under the circumstances described herein.
Communication/Account Management with TAGG
We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Even though we have taken industry-standard steps to protect your Personal Information, no company, including us, can fully eliminate security risks associated with Personal Information. We offer you choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of your Personal Information. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When you receive promotional communications from us, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further promotional communications from us and you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the promotional e-mail you receive or by contacting us directly. To unsubscribe from text messaging please reply STOP to any text message.
Despite your indicated e-mail and text marketing preferences, we may send you administrative e-mails regarding TAGG, including, for example, administrative and transactional confirmations, and notices of updates to our Privacy Policy if we choose to provide such notices to you in this manner.
User Data Removal from TAGG
Should a user discontinue use of TAGG and wish to have their information deleted they can make the request to TAGG at hello@togetheragreatergood.com. TAGG will then delete all personal information from the TAGG system as a result, however previous TAGG activity will remain.
Privacy of Our Partners
TAGG contains links to other websites. TAGG is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these linked sites. Please visit those sites directly to view their privacy policy.
Changes to Our Policy
This Privacy Policy is subject to revision at our sole discretion, and if we make any substantial changes in the way we use your Personal Information, we may e-mail you or may otherwise post an alert on the TAGG website. If you object to any such changes, you must discontinue using TAGG. Continued use of TAGG following notice of any such changes in either of the foregoing manners shall indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes. If you are a California resident, you may request that we provide to you (i) a list of the categories of Personal Information about you that TAGG has disclosed to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes during the calendar year preceding your request, (ii) the names and addresses of such third parties, and (iii) if the nature of the third parties’ business cannot reasonably be determined from their names, examples of the products or services marketed, if known to TAGG, sufficient to give you a reasonable indication of the nature of the third parties’ business.
